Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Ceilidh and I live in Queensland, Australia.
After a school holiday visit to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in January 2008, I found out about the terrible disease that is killing my favourite animal: the Tasmanian Devil. When I saw what this disease can do, I had to do something to help!
I did some research on the internet with the help of my mum and dad into what’s being done and how we can help. I decided to put up a website and raise money for the Save the Devil Program to help the researchers do their work.
If you go to the About DFTD page, you can learn more about the disease itself. But please note that some of the pictures may upset young children. This page also includes what’s being done in the fight against this terrible disease right now and why we should help - as well as ways to help.
I’ve also included an About Tasmanian Devils page so you can find out more information about them including some interesting facts!
The work of the scientists and researchers costs money - if the Tasmanian Devils are to be saved from this disease and my grandchildren and great-grandchildren are to be able to see them in the wild - and not just in zoos - then raising money is the best thing we can to do help.
